Adult Fellowship

The purpose of Adult Fellowship is to provide adults 50 years and older opportunity to join together in fellowship which fosters a deepening spiritual commitment, growing prayer life, continual learning experiences, service opportunities and a through a forum which adults of the churches may lend their knowledge, talents and abilities to the work of the kingdom of God.

Please note, though the Adult Fellowship is a ministry of The Churches of God, General Conference, Eastern Regional Conference we extend invitation to any and all adults ages 50 plus.

We encourage individual churches to create Adult Fellowship groups in their community, inviting adults of the community to gather together on a regular basis for fellowship, fun and the study of God's Word.

Each year Adult Fellowship sponsors events in order to unite the individual church groups into a community of adults 50+. Some of those events can be found on the "events" page.

In brief, the "Spring Flings" are held twice each spring. You may choose which Spring Fling you wish to attend, or you are welcome to attend both.

In August, Pastor Larry and Luella Hale are your hosts for "Adult Fellowship Camp", a Monday through Friday camp for adults 50+. There are two excellent Bible studies daily, devotional groups, scads of "electives" for all activity levels. Included are hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, archers, horseback riding, climbing tower and zip line. For those who are not as active, there are crafts, WII bowling competitions, shuffleboard, jigsaw puzzles, rocking chair excerises and many others. You may even choose to take a snooze. It is just a fun filled, spirit filled, food filled time.

You may choose to come for a day or two, or stay for the entire time. For those with communting and RVs, there are special rates. Come check it out. Please visit the "Camp" page for more info.

In October of each year, we sponsor "The Fall Festival of Music" held at Doubling Gap Center, "Camp Yolijwa". Our goal is to get as many of our members as possible for a one day retreat in the mountains. Included for the day is elections of officers, devotions, hymn sing, camps FAMOUS BBQ chicken dinner and top notch entertainment. In 2024 our musical guests are "The Millers"
